Ideapad Y700-14ISK M.2 Upgrade (80NU000UUS)

Good Evening,
I've reviewed the previous threads and have not seen a concise answer to this question; which m.2 SSDs are compatable with the Y700-14ISK Lenovo Ideapad? I've got the stock 5400 500GB HDD in there now and am keen on upgrading it right away with an SSD in either 2.5" or m.2 configuration.

I've referenced the HMM and am torn between either going to the Samsung Evo 850 (Sata III) or the Samsung SM951 (PCIe) based. Been reading about the pros and cons of going from PM851 to SM951 and the cost difference, and performance difference, sounds impressive.

Would really appreciate some guidance if any prior customers have successfully installed either of these m.2 models in their Y700-14ISK ideapads and if it's difficult to clone the existing HDD to the blank m.2 (remember, this version of the Y700-14ISK does not have an optical drive).

Many thanks for your time and consideration,

Mongoose

I am wondering if you got a chance to upgrade your M.2 SSD.

There are M.2 SATA and M.2 PCIe. The one shipped with 14ISK I got is an M.2 SATA. I am not sure if M.2 PCIe would be recognized by the motherboard.
