Tried bios reset, acpi cleaned up.nothing help. Lenovo official service insitis to replace the battery. I feel that this is a programming bug rather than hardware issue. Hi CuriousFox ,
To isolate fastest is to have another battery to use or charging the original battery on a known working compatible laptop.
The power checkout guide of the hardware machine manual provides steps to check battery charging integrity (example form Z510 manual page 21) .
You can also try plugging the laptop but not turning it on for 1-2 hours checking if there would be changes with the battery indicator LED.
Would it be the same using similar energy manager and operating system that came originally with the machine?
How is the battery health and battery report?
Update us how it goes.
