Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
This configuration with the RAM is OK
Based on the Datasheet of your model This can go to 8GB / 16GB
Ive highlighted the option you prefer with the RAM
About the Discrete NVIDIA GPU, Itis soldered to the Mainboard thus not letting any upgrade to it.
Upgrading the board means upgrading the whole Motherboard, which might not be preferred since it may only give you a minimal upgrade in terms of performance.
Hope this info helped

The best Lenovo laptop for gaming is the Y50. They ship with an i7 @ 2.6GHz and a GTX 960M, either 2GB or 4GB VRAM. If you want to play texture intense games at high resolution, you might wanto to opt for the 4GB model. I'd recommend not getting the UHD model and just go with 1080p; it's plenty for gaming and the 4k screen has a ton of issues.
Y50-70 - Model 59440654 is the best deal right now, with the 4GB GTX 960 and 16GB RAM for $1099.
