There you go

http://support.lenovo.com/en/downloads/ds040484

It's meant for Windows 8.1 (64bit), but it works on Windows 10 (64bit) as well.

It looks as though the version specified by Vasileff is 1.0.0.35. I think that there is a more-recent version 1.5.0.17 available here:

http://pcsupport.lenovo.com/gb/en/downloads/DS100173

I have installed this version on both Windows 7 and Window 10, but on neither system does it show a "Fan dust removal" option. This was on a 700-15ISK. Does your system show a "Fan dust removal" option?  If so, where?

It's under the "Maintenance guide" tab

Interesting -- that is not what version 1.5.0.17 shows on my hardware!  This is what I see:

energy_manager.PNG

So I have the "Battery Sleep Mode" in place of "Fan Dust Removal".  Perhaps my hardware (700-15ISK) does not have the necessary controls to allow fan dust removal, or perhaps fan dust removal was removed from version 1.5.0.17 and replaced with battery sleep mode.  I will try installing the version that you suggested and see what appears.

Re: Ideapad Z510 - Battery Managment ( Dust removal )

If I have to be honest, I don't think that this kind of dust removal gets the job done. In fact, I think that it adds even more dust to the one that's already there. In order to at least try to clean the heat sink, it should spin the fan in the other direction (start sucking air from the heat sink grill and blow it out through the bottom holes). I guess Lenovo have realised that and removed the feature in the latest version of EM.

Personally, I use compressed air (either from a compressor or a spray can) to keep my heat sink clean. But if you're going to use a compressor, it's important to make sure that it has a moisture separator/trap or else it could blow water inside your laptop!

Sorry if I don't make much sense... My English is not good :/
