I have lenovo ideapad Z510 and recently I had a few problems with it. Sometimes my OS completely freezes and laptop beeps twice (it happened several times on 2 different linux distributions and on windows 8.1).
One month ago I first anylyzed HDD SMART - the only bad walue was "End to end error" was 98/98/99/2 (value/worst/threshold/raw value). Now, about one month later it's 87/87/99/13. All other parameters are "OK".
But lenovo solution center and seagate "SeaTools" tests all passed.
After searching on google I found 2 completely different results:
- It's critical error and I should backup everything as soon as possible (so I have full backup now)
- These errors are corrected so unless there are other problems - it's nothing bad
For me it doesn't look like they are corrected - when such error happend the whole OS freezes.
Is there really something wrong with my HDD there is nothing to worry about?
Note: It is still under warranty.
