While attempting to change the Secure Boot function in BIOS I somehow corrupted it. As a result I can no longer access BIOS using the Novo key, pressing F2, or using a variety of other techniques. A local computer shop was able to bring up BIOS by removing the CMOS battery, but that's no way to routinely enter BIOS.
I've was told by the computer shop that BIOS needs re-flashed. Currently there is no BIOS file available for the Ideapad Z580 on Lenovo's Web site. Is it possible for someone in service send these files to me.

I ended up sending the laptop to Lenovo service. Their fix was to replace the motherboard. Really? No mention was made about re-flashing the BIOS. I'm in no position to second guess the service department, but in my humble opinion I would have tried flashing the BIOS before replacing the MB.
The good news: I'm able to now get into the BIOS screen.
The bad news: It cost me $50 shipping.
