Ideapad Z580 lose bezel

Hello all,

In October I bought a new Ideapad Z580. Now I recognized that the right side from my bezel (the edge around the laptop) is lose. The left side is fine, but when I press on the right side, you hear a clicking noise.

Is there someone here who has the same problem or same laptop without this problem? Maybe this is a normal case but I don't think it's normal.

Hopefully you guys can help me Smiley Happy.

Greetings,

Re: Ideapad Z580 lose bezel

No problem with the edge of the notebook on my Z580, i did have a problem with the top left of the keyboard the area where the esc key is being loose, also the esc key made a intermittent clicking sound, i returned that Z580.

My escape button is fine. It's just the bezel that's lose ;(.

Re: Ideapad Z580 lose bezel

Hi
If you look below your notebook at the same place where the bezl is loose, you should see a screw in there. Is there any screrw? As an suggestion, you could just try removing the screw(and nothing else) and reinsert it. Or just tighten it a bit.

Re: Ideapad Z580 lose bezel

Well the screw is under the laptop, but that screw does not have a relation with the bezel and it's good inserted.

It's just the right side from my screen (the black edge) which is lose. Looks like they forgot to put abit of glue between the bezel and the screen on the right side haha.

Re: Ideapad Z580 lose bezel

I wounder if the bezel is clipped in correctly, it looks like a big job to fix, so if you are in warranty get a swap or repair.

else see guide below.

select fru video`s and then keyboard bezel removal

Re: Ideapad Z580 lose bezel

That's a nice website you gave there Tinderbox! Seems like removing the bezel from the LCD is a hell of a work. So indeed, I still have waranty, so I think it's smart to go back with it.

@the post above Tinderbox: Do you also have the right side making a clicking noise when you press on it? And you also have a Lenovo Z580?

Re: Ideapad Z580 lose bezel

So going back with it to the store is the best option I guess?
