I just got a brand new Z580 and all is well and as expected, except for the touch pad:
The touchpad buttons seem to be integrated into the touchpad's touch-enabled part.
That means I can move the cursor by moving my finger over the buttons.
That's very annoying.
The cursor moves when clicking the button, making precise clicks impossible
But what's worst, while holding my finger on a button, i can no longer move the cursor with another finger!
OS is Kubuntu 12.04 LTS
EDIT: forgot to ask a question:
Is there a way to restrict the touch surface to the part of the touchpad that does NOT have buttons under it?

You can adjust your tapzones to ignore the button area. That helps a bit.
Resize the "Tap Zones" to match the right and/or left mouse buttons. Then, go to "Bottom Right/Left action" and select "Button/Zone completely disabled". After doing that the button areas only function if clicked, but not tapped.

Ok, i found out how to do that:
This fixes the problem with the inaccuracy.
However, the problem where placing one finger on the mouse button blocks all movement still persists.
