I think there is no option to configure the backlight. It's only the FN + Space bar which controls the switching on/off of the lights.

Should be a hardware Interrupt request or a process initiation.

I will try to figure this out and work on writing a program. Its been a long time since I worked on something like this.

Will let you know if I am successful, might take about a week. (since I am out for the weekend)

Hey fulesmacko, sorry I didn't get time to get on this.

I will do some research today and let you know if this is possible.

Hey FulesMacko

I have tried searching for a hardware interuupt or a keystroke or the file which makes the backlight work but I could not find it. Tried to capture the keystrokes, but they are not captured.

So, unless a Lenovo engineer can tell us exactly which file gets executed or what is the code transmitted when the backlight is turned on or off, I wont be able to fix this.

I will keep trying to capture the keystroke in some other language, so lets hope I can find something.

( I have tried VBscript and C++ till now, maybe I need to go more deeper)
