Hi blindman56

Welcome to the Community Forums.

I tried checking part number 11012292 from this discussion here

Laptop Motherboard for lenovo Z565 11012292 LA-5754P Series

z565 motherboard part number11012292.jpgpart # 11012292 motherboard

RTC battery encircled in yellow.

You can try to also get your specific motherboard part number from here.

Using your part number and searching online for similar images but most likely it would also be on the same underside.

Hope this helps answer your query.

Regards

Would the TRC battery cause the system to turn on with a black screen and the LED lights to work, but the fan turn off after about 2 seconds and the to be dead?

Hi blindman56,

It usually is not the RTC battery but rather possible power/ systemboard / graphic chip, fan heatsink etc.

I would rather have the fans cleaned and re-apply thermal paste after checking the charger.

Start by checking the LCD by connecting to another display externally.

Press to check if the caps lock and numlock respond with its LED.

Regards
