Install OS to mSSD

I'd like to install Windows 8.1 to a mSSD (NOT a SSD, the small one that is optional in a separate slot from the hard drive bay in the Y510p). So far nobody on any forum has been able to grasp this concept (lol.). Would it be possible to simply move the OS/clone it from the HDD to the mSSD? If so can you please post the most detailed instructions you can. Thanks Smiley Happy

Y510p: i7 4700MQ (Overclocked to 3.6GHz), SLI GT 755M (Each Overclocked 111MHz), Corsair Vengeance 16GB 2133MHz, Samsung 850 Pro 256GB, MyDigitalSSD SuperBoot 128GB, Intel Wireless-AC 7260, Windows 10 Home
Dell XPS 13 (2015): i5 5200U, Intel HD 5500, 4GB 1600MHz, 128GB Samsung M.2 SSD, 802.11ac WLAN, Windows 10 Home (School Laptop)

Re: Install OS to mSSD

Unfortunately, that is to a SSD, not a mSSD, which I did state Smiley Tongue. It doesn't work like a SSD does...

Re: Install OS to mSSD

The drive that your put in the small slot is also an SSD just that it is put in the M.2 NGFF slot.

The cloning process works  the same way.
