Is there a special BIOS setting in order to install Win7-64 onto a fresh HDD?
I've swapped the 5400RPM Seagate for a 7200RPM HGST drive.
I'm using a Windows 7 Ultimate install DVD.
The Win7 setup boot will start up. But, after it loads the files, it just gets stuck at the "Starting Windows" screen.
I had to change a security setting in the BIOS in order to boot from DVD drive. So, I wonder if there are other settings that need to be changed. There seem to be references to Windows 8 in the BIOS, which I find weird.
