So I got my y510p about a week ago and it worked fine for a few days. Then I started getting terrible performance from the graphics card. I thought i needed to update the drivers so i did and it didnt fix the problem. I've tried rolling them back, using the ones provided on the lenovo website, and using the beta drivers from the nvidia webpage.
At lowest graphics settings Im getting maybe 12fps when using my graphics card, but on medium settings I get 60fps with integrated.
Maybe im crazy, but I think something is wrong.

Could you please elaborate, how did you exactly test that you are getting 12 fps with GPU and 60fps with integrated.
1) What game are your running? What settings?
2) Are you using your AC adapter while playing games? Is it working on battery?
3) Have you checked in Nvidia Control Panel for 3D settings? Is it set to Max Quality?

Just curious, How did you test that your Integrated graphics is running the game at 60 fps?
Have you checked if your CPU is throttling due to heat. Could you please post your gaming temps?
Does lowering the game settings give better fps?
You can use the tool "GPU-Z" to check your GPU activity, it can be logged to a text file as well.
Please do use that tool and post the file. lets see if your GPU is being used correctly or not.

As far as this statement - Have you checked if your CPU is throttling due to heat.
Wouldn't that actually be more indicative of a graphics card failure rather than cpu failure considering that the gpu is the one giving poor performance.
If the processor is doing even more work using an integrated card cpu throttling due to heat would be irrelevant in the case of combined usage with a gpu since it overheating should actually be more of a problem when it is standing alone.
Then again, I'm just speculating.
