I have been using this laptop since May. It works fine in general, but over the usage period, I have encountered the following error messages (screenshots taken) around 6-7 times, sometimes preceded by a brief screen blackout. Any ideas what this might be about? Solutions appreciated.

I’m sorry to hear that the error message regarding “Intelligent touchpad has stopped working” is displayed frequently, please re-install the Touchpad driver to resolve this issue and below is the link to download the Touchpad Driver for Z580.

I too have this issue on my Z580.
It happens if I quickly click on destop from the Windows 8 start screen... I've got to give it a good 30-60 seconds before I click on desktop or any desktop app to keep the issue from occuring.
