Internet connection help on NEW COMPUTER

Internet connection is a hassle.  My connection lasts for at most one minute.  I am almost always required to have it connected to an outlet for that to even work.  I paid a gand for this computer and out of the box it has problems.  My friend went through the same issues and I have also viewed dozens of other issues pertaining to Lenovo/internet connection issues.  Some were approached with simple resonses to ISPs, routers, locations, and even no response at all.

 

With that being said, I need help.  First and formost let me establish all of the following training manual troubleshooting responses are not the issue.  I have a seperate family laptop that was running Vista and receiving a crystal clear connection.  I am now running Windows 7 and the upgrade still hasn't altered performance.

 

-my ISP

-my router

-my router location (microwaves, fridges, televisions, etc.)

-firewalls

 

nearly anything that falls under those troubleshooting pages.  Please give me resolution because I've dealt with this issue for six months now.  I waited for Windows 7 to arrive, spent my own money on a new router that I cannot return now. And I just wasted so many hours pouring over forums on what seems to be like a manufacturing issue from Lenovo that nobody is willing to fix.

 

Please give me the real answers or I am sending this computer back.  I know it's not tech support's fault that this is an issue nor am I directing any anger towards whoever may be helping with my issue.  I just know that no matter a persons wealth status, nobody wants to drop one thousand dollars on something that doesnt work.

Still nothing?  Good suppport on your product.  Ill be sure to make a copy of this page with all of the dates and times I have posted for when I send you back this worthless product.

Does the router have an open connection? Or is it WPA2/WPA/WEP? I have had this issue with an HP I had. It would not let me connect to WPA2. If yours is on WPA or WPA2 use WEP. P.S. this is not tech support. this is a forum for users from users.
