Is it possible to upgrade my processor? Lenovo z51-70

2016-05-16, 23:41 PM

Can I purchase and install a better processor for my Lenovo z51-70 by myself? If so, am I limited to specific types of processors?

Thankyou in advance.

Hi TimoComputer ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

The processor is non upgradable as it is embedded on the board .

Product specification for possible processors indicates that the socket support is BGA (Ball Grid Array ) .

i3-5005U  i3-5010U  i5-5200U  i7-5500U are all soldered in the motherboard.

Hope this answered your query.
