Just recently got back from vacation and when I got back to my laptop I found out my w key stopped working, currently using a USB keyboard but its very small and I'd like to see if I can fix my original keyboard.
Ive already removed the keycap and cleaned it out as best as I could, but even without the keycaps, it still doesnt work.
I've also tried reverting back to factory settings (Windows 8.1 to Windows 8) but still nothing.
My warrenty expired a while ago and I'm not sure what to do.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would appreciate if you can try the below:
1. Shut down the machine.
2. get the battery out and connect the charger.
3. Press and hold the power button for 30 Sec.
4. Power on the machine and test the keyboard

Boot the system into safe mode and check for the issue, also check in onscreen keyboard if it works. If still the same issue it might be issue with the keyboard hence suggest you to visit the nearest authorised service centre.
