Key popped off, what should I do?

Hello, have the Lenovo Y50-70. I guess when the recent angel I've been hitting my "W" key caused it to pop off. I just want to know what should I do because it doesn't look like it'll stay on there without popping off when i use it after a few minutes. I've tried just placing it back in place but the bottom part lifts up when I click the top half of the key. Thank you!

Re: Key popped off, what should I do?

Hi Simonhawk ,

If you have a covered warranty ( reference to your previous post) or  (extended warranty) , calling technical support for repair are usually advise as they would replace the entire keyboard set.

Else, you may try this self help tip from this discussions here and here as other providers would be able to offer single key repair if there are part broken. CLick on the highlighted link for reference on accepted solutions by fellow members.

Hope this help answer your query.

Re: Key popped off, what should I do?

In addition to Spidey101's information, I have included a couple of links below to the websites of two retailers that offer replacement key caps.  On their website they also offer installation information which you may find useful.  As long as the plastic hinge and the clips on the key cap aren't damaged, you should be able to reattach it.
