Lenova ideapad Z560

Hi,

 

I have been using an idepad Z560 as my first system ever, So don know much about systems and softwares... I have bought it in Apr 2011 and has been using since then... The system developed a problem last week Pls help me out.

 

Last week when I switched on the system it did not switch on normally it was showing the BOOT Manager page, I selected the SATA HDD: HITACHI HTS545050B9A300 and the system booted..Ever since everytime I switch on I am doing the same.. Once or twice while starting using the booting process it even sounded an alarm...

Then the sleep mode is not working when I select the option for sleep it just goes to sleep for 2 secs and it comes back..

 

Pls do help me.. Its my first system ever and I have not even completely paid the dues of this...

can you give us a little bit more information about "alarm"?
is it "beep" noise?

Hi,

Thanks for replying...

 

Yes it was a continuous "Beep" sound which was not stopping. So I switched off the system  using the power button within a few seconds.. Then I switched it on after few minutes using the boot manager.... There was no sound. It happened twice within this week.. The problems mentioned in the above msg still continues..ie every time I switch on I need to go through the Booting and The sleep function problem...

 

Pls give me a solution..

short-long beeps? could be hardware issue.

hi,

Long "Beeps"... Oh no Hardware issue? Is it? My friend bought this system for me from Abudhabi.. Will I get the warranty over here in Mumbai?

if you have valid international warranty, it'll cover.
call lenovo support line first.
