Hello people, we're in september, so it's a few months since the last post... still experiencing the same issue, nobody has an idea on how to correct it ?

Get latest drivers (from manufacturer website if available). Also, update your BIOS too.
In a few words: UPDATE ALL TO LATEST VERSION.

If I remember well, all my drivers are up to date :/
Don't know about the bios however, I'll check
On this link :
we can see that Y310 is not "windows 7 ready", is it just because the drivers were not adapted yet or impossible to adapt ? Oo_o

I did see that your PC does not have Win7 drivers but rather Vista drivers. Since you said you tried and installed the Vista drivers and no luck then try DRIVERMAX. I had a PC that did not have XP drivers. That program found and installed drivers in XP and got it working. What it does is find a driver for that type of board/CPU/GPU/USB/webcam or sound card.
Here are the directions off of my head the best that I can remember:
There are also Youtube clips on how to use DRIVERMAX. Cheers! Hope it works for you.

Hey, thank you mrpeter, that's quite an interesting soft, I installed it and it found some SATA drivers (I suspected hard drive drivers to be source if this issue), I'll give feedback about it

OK, no more freeze since a few days.
Your suggestion was good Ipnash, however, my problem was more to figure out which drivers needed to be updated and where to find them. So MrPeter's solution has been really efficient from this point of view
Thanks to you and all people that answered in this thread and more importantly MrPeter for provinding the final solution
