Lenovo 3000 Y410 - dual channel memory support?

I recently bought one of these and was wondering if it supports dual channel memory access and where I can find a list of certified memory for this model. Also thinking of dual booting Vista with Ubuntu so any advice or tips with regards to drivers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Lenovo 3000 Y410 - dual channel memory support?

When I had one 2G Kingston chip in mine, CPU-Z reported SC (single-channel).
Later on I added another 2G chip (Apacer this time), then CPU-Z reported DC (dual-channel).

Re: Lenovo 3000 Y410 - dual channel memory support?

Thanks. I have gotten Ubuntu Gutsy installed and have managed to get the sound working. The first thing I noticed is that the sound quality and levels are much better in Ubuntu than in Vista. When I had only vista installed i felt as if that whole subwoofer thing was a gimmick, but with Ubuntu it actually sounds like it works. Now i am trying to find a way to get Ubuntu to use proper drivers for the onboard video.
