I have a brand new Lenovo Y530 and right from the start, I noticed that everything was running very slow when two user accounts were logged in at the same time (I had no problems when just logged in on one account). I checked the resource monitor and traced the problem to the Lenovo Energy Management software. As soon as I ended the program, the computer worked fine, but it would have the same issue on the next bootup since the program was set to startup automatically. I finally disabled the software using Windows Defender and this fixed the problem. The issue is that now I cannot use the Fn+ up/down arrows to adjust the screen brightness which is somewhat annoying.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to either fix the Lenovo Energy Management CPU resource issue or use the Fn+up/down arrows to adjust screen brightness without using the Lenovo energy management software?
