I own a ideapad z580 with windows 8.1 64 bit since 2012. I need to replace the hard drive due to bad sector issue. The system is extremely slow response. I tried the recovery function through the control panel. But, it says some of the files are missing. I cannot run the recoevry itself. I plan to replace the hard drive. But, I need a recovery disc. Then, I tried to order it. However, it does not allow me to order the download because my warrant is expired. I am so regert that I should have order the recovery download within the warrant. Please help how to resolve it. I hope to have it resolve before my current hard drive is totally dead. Thanks,

Welcome to the Community Forums.
You can call in technical support to order the recovery media for your machine. The hardware folks may also be able to transfer you to the software department (PFS 1855-271-3878 Option 2 ) for processing the order request.
The product key is embedded on the systemboard so other attempts to download the image of the same version here.
