So that I couldn't install the driver. The driver can be installed only if the device already detected.
I try to use the camera during chatting on Windows Live Messenger and it can not works. So I need the solution for
this problem. Can anyone help me?

Sorry I cannot help you, but...
Would you mind posting a few words about your new Y450? There's been a lack of information so far and I can't wait to hear a review from a real owner. How do you like your overall experience with this system??
I am deciding between this and the T400 and am eagerly anticipating the US launch of the Y450 (whenever that may be...c'mon, hurry up Lenovo!) .

I have already successful installed the driver. But, when i go to control panel
and then go to scanner and camera, there is no camera in the list means that
the device can not be detected.
One more thing, i want to ask about the application program for camera.
Is there any application program for the camera? That can be used to capture

i've purchased a lenovo y450 with pre-installed windows vista 32bit. i reformatted the harddrive and intall windows vista 64bit and downloaded & installed all the necessary drivers from lenovo website and everything works perfectly except for the built-in webcam.
windows vista provided a driver on the "lenovo easy camera" as shown on the device manager, however, veriface &/or yahoo messenger is telling that they can't detect a camera, so i tried to install the "lenovo easy capture" software also downloaded from lenovo website, however this easy capture installer can not be installed, prompting that the software can only be installed on a lenovo computer.
so, i install the driver of "lenovo easy camera" which contains a suyin, chicony & bison when extracted and run the setup.exe from the root folder of the extracted files. checking from the drivers details in device manager it shows that microsoft's driver were replaced with suyin, i beleive that the installation was successful, replacing the microsoft provided driver with the lenovo "suyin" driver. however, when i re-ran the "lenovo easy capture" software it prompt me again that the software can only be installed on a lenovo computer.
my question guys, how come this lenovo provided easy capture software can't be installed using either the microsoft provided & lenovo provided driver for the easy camera?
anybody experience this? to those who reformatted their default installation, how do you manage to make the built-in webcam of your Y450 or y550 working?
thanks in advance.

I have a same problem with you while re-install my harddisk in lenovo Y450. Can you share to me how can I find download software for "lenovo easy capture" since I only found "lenovo easy camera" at the lenovo website. Currently I still can't used all the feature at my notebook (navigator, easy theater, dolby sound, camera, veriface). Please advise to use all those features.
Thanks in advance.
