Sometimes the keys are working and most of the time they don't.

Re: Lenovo Ideapad Y500 Keyboard issues

Hi Subhasree16,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Try using an external usb keyboard and see if you would have the same issue. Test it also with the onscreen keyboard to help isolate if the issue is with the hardware.

Update us how it goes.

Re: Lenovo Ideapad Y500 Keyboard issues

I do have the same problem with my Y500, some key need to be pressed  hard and sometimes even after pressing once it repeats the word twice r thrice. I did check with an external keyboard & on screen keyboard neither showed any problems. The key find problem with are (F, G, H, T, Z, U, I) which are on the middle of keyboard.  These keys are working but they need to be pressed hard. Is there a solution apart from replacing the keyboard.

Thanks & Regards,
