So, long story short. I accidentally deleted my recovery partition and now it seems like the only thing that will get my laptop up and running normally again is a recovery disc from Lenovo. I just got off the phone with customer service and they informed me that recovery discs can not be ordered in USB form.
This is where my main issue is. My Lenovo Ideapad Y500 laptop did not come with a CD-ROM Drive.
With that being said, I do not want to spend $69 on a recovery disc that will require me to purchase an external CD-ROM drive that potentially won't even work... When I asked customer support if I could return and get a refund for the disc if it will not boot through an external CD-ROM drive, they said no.
Has anyone been able to run a recovery disc from an external cd-rom drive successfully? Any suggestions? I'm at my wit's end with this thing...

There's a great possibility that it won't boot off of an external player. I recommend creating installation media of your own: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/15088/windows-create-installation-media
