I have the 3 year in-home extended warranty. Someone in Lenovo realized that that they should try to fix my problem instead of having me return the computer for a full refund. The Lenovo repair service tech came to my house with new replacement parts and repaired unit.

Ive extensively checked the posts and cannot find a working method to fixing the touchpad. Ive only had the Y500 a little over a day now and the problem was there from the start. Ive tried uninstalling the drivers (no luck), tried the updated drivers that somebody posted (no luck), tried the synaptics drivers (also no luck). It appears i have no other option but return the laptop to lenovo for a refund as its clearly a issue that they didnt fix. Has anyone managed to fix it finally?

why does lenovo community exist?I think the aim of this forum is to help people who has problem with their lenovo laptop but no one care it.most of people have this issue and all of us are wondering that if its due to hardware or software. If the problem is for software, will lenovo publish new driver to solve this issue?I am bored of having tons of issue with lenovo laptop and also with their careless attitude.

Second set of drivers didnt work at all, lasted about 5 mins until the pad went crazy. Ive got fed up with the laptop now its obviously a serious issue that cant be fixed.
