I encountered an annoying issue, at first the webcam was working ok, but then one day it just started to lag horribly no idea why. And the lighting effects are all off.

I’m sorry to hear that the Webcam is not working as expected in your Y510p Laptop, I suggest you to re-install the webcam driver from our support website. But while installing the driver right click on the downloaded file and select “Run as administrator” option to get it installed without any error.
Do post us back if the issue persists.

Thanks for a possible solution, but i once did reinstall it and it didn't work, although i managed to solve the situation.
It seems one of the programs which used the camera, had tweaked its settings. And fix was capable by simply adjusting exposure levels. Thank you for your time though.
