i just bought ideapad y570 and its been fine but after months of using it my touchpad wont work as it was before.
i noticed that when i tap on it, it doesnt select anything on my computer. it moves and all but when i try to select anything it does not respond.
i already did FN+F6 and it didnt work.
how should i fix this?

is your synaptics touchpad driver installed?
if yes, you have to change the settings from Device manager-hardware and printers-mouse. After opening mouse properties go to "Device Settings" tab and click on settings. After that you have to open "Tapping" page and enable it if it is not enabled.
If you don't have the driver installed, you can download it from the link below and do the same things above if the problem persists. just chose the right operating system
