Lenovo Ideapad Z400 (Touch) Replacement the Touch LCD with non-Touch from Z400 model?

2019-12-31, 3:24 AM

As per above title, anyone reader/forumer been through that your old laptop Lenovo Ideapad Z400 (Touch) from 2013, that your LCD those rubber edge starting to meltdown into dust etc. I been searching from Aliexpress for replacement part of the Z400 (Touch) LCD but no luck from there. Mostly are selling the Z400 LCD (non-Touch) model.

So the question here is, is it possible to replace my Z400 (Touch) LCD into Z400 (non-Touch) LCD? I assume both running the same model name, the only difference here is the Z400T/Z400(Touch) are with the Touch Display.

Yes, you can, but please note that you have to install a new set of drivers for the display card.

Hello Felix_Cheng, nice to have you here!

For your concern, it would be best to check your laptop's hardware maintenance manual first to see your device's complete specifications especially when it comes to replacing part(s) on the laptop like the LCD.

You may also use this Lenovo parts lookup tool to see if the part(s) that you're looking for is in stock or available as of this moment.

When it comes to checking parts to third party stores, it is also recommended to know/check their return/replacement policy as well if in case of part(s) compatibility issue.

Hope this helps you out.

Thanks!
