Hi All,
I have a Z400 touch. The keys "8", "I", "K", and "< ," are not working, even in safe mode. I strongly suspect it is due to dust, and I should clean under the keys. My question is; is it okay to pry those keys off the board directly with a screwdriver? Or would it get damaged?
EDIT: I bought this machine in 2014, used it as my primary computer until around March 2017, after which I've been using a different laptop. I'm trying to rejuvenate my old laptop at the moment, so it could be used by someone else.
Thanks.

Hello K1cs
Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.
(If the battery is internal, please just skip the remove/replace battery steps.)
1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal
However, if it is not working in safe mode, I would suspect this to be a hardware fault.
If you are looking to clean it, I think you would be best to follow the instructions through the hardware manual, you can find that on the support site as well if you do not have it:
https://support.lenovo.com/de/en
Otherwise, you may want to get in touch with your local Lenovo support line, and they may be able to help as well.
Below is the link to the phone list where you can find these numbers
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
