I bought my laptop on 8th Feb 2014 from authorized Lenovo dealer.
On Monday I was watching video on youtube on JBL speaker. After that I used Skype, for that I used Headphone. After my call I removed my headphone and continued my youtube video, but sound was not coming. Again I inserted the headphone, sound is coming only via headphone. But not through speaker. I contacted today (11/02/2014) to lenovo ideapad service centre. They told me to give the desktop access to troubleshoot the issue and they said speaker is not working. After that I asked them its under warranty and I should be given service. They simply disconnected the session and now on call also they are not supporting. Please help me to get this issue resolved.

I have this exact same problem too with my Z510 that I bought a week ago. Same scenario.. Speakers working--> used headphones---> speakers not working after unplugging headphones.
Now that it's been almost a month have you managed to solve the problem?

I also bought an IDEAPAD Z510 on July 19th 2014. I have the same problem. I read a forum post which suggested that the problem could be due to malfunction of the internal mechanism of the headphone socket . The internal mechanism of socket often does not come back to original position after the headphone is removed to restore speaker function. I suspect that is the problem. Lenovo should help rectify this manufacturing fault.
