Same thing happening to me ...i plug in my headphones and now i have no JBL sound...should i go with my z510 in service?
Please an answer , i bought it online and in my town there is no service center i have to send it by courier...

This worked for me:
"Check your sound driver. Open devmgmt.msc Uninstall the sound driver and restart Windows
Let Windows automatically install the drivers for you"

I did it. it work but sound is coming only via speaker not through headphone.
Disconnecting this cable causes the failure of which sections?
I think we should replace the audio jack.
