This fix seemed to be not working for me. I'm still not being notified when my battery is low and the battery indicator is always displaying 99%. Please address this issue.

Re: Lenovo Ideapad z510 Low Battery Warning Problem

Greetings Ashwin,

I already performed the Gauge Reset and did a reboot. The battery indicator charged from 3% all the way up to 10% and it got stuck there for quite a long time and then it reached a 100%. Is this a software issue or a battery issue? The battery indicator does not seem to be displaying real-time percentage of the battery.

EDIT: Timed the battery life from 100% with the charger unplugged. After 47mins, the laptop had shut off without the low battery notification. Connected the charger and then reboot the device. The battery indicator displayed the progress of the charging up to 19% and then it got stuck again( to 19% ). I tried to remove the charger then the laptop had shut down again. Very frustrating.

Hi Badlogic,

Try to uninstall the Microsoft ACPI and checks for the issue, to uninstall go to device manager select battery option.

Select the drop down list from the battery option and right click on the Microsoft ACPI complaint control battery method and select uninstall.

If still the issue persist then it could be issue with the battery please visit the nearest authorised service centre.

Re: Lenovo Ideapad z510 Low Battery Warning Problem

Hi Ashwin,

I know you are just doing your job but this solution is useless. I think what you are trying to say is that I purchased a product that has cheap materials to think that the battery cannot last 1 year. W/\T/\F is wrong with Lenovo! This is not an isolated issue. There are many of us Z510 users that are experiencing this kind of problem please refer to this link and for the love of god have your support answer this thread https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-P-Y-and-Z-series/Lenovo-Z510-Battery-Issues/m-p/2119356#M126661

Mod edit:  BadLogic, I know you are upset, but let's keep it clean here.

Re: Lenovo Ideapad z510 Low Battery Warning Problem

Yes I'm upset isnt it obvious? Just post an answer on the thread that I had linked and tell all the users that Lenovo has given us a defective malfunctioning battery. Poor quality laptops. BTW take a look at my battery report from windows. Total waste of time and money.
