Just a quick questions guys. New here. I wanted to know if there are any replacement keyboards for the y40-70 with backlit? Now that the Y700s came out, would their keyboard work or even the ones on the y50s?
Thanks

Hi engz ,
Welcome to the Community Forums,
There is still no offered backlit keyboard for the Y40-70 , no power port to connect it on the motherboard too so Y50 backlit keyboard will not work either.
Additional reference to same topic discussion on this thread and this article (under input devices).
Hope this answered your query.
Regards

Hello,
I just bought a replacement keyboard for my Y40-70 and noticed that in order to replace the actual keyboard it requires me to rip the plastic rivets off. Is there a type of glue that I need to buy to attach my new keyboard?
Thanks,
Jack Zheng

Hi jzheng213 ,
Greetings.
As some keyboards may not be physically intended for the chassis design it is usually suggested to get specific part number tied to the original system using this website .
But if that functionally works for you , similar adhesives like Super Glue (cyanoacrilate) can help.
