I have Lenovo Y50-70 (Non-Touch) With I7-4th gen. GTX 860mx (Y50-70 Laptop (Lenovo) - Type 80EJ )
My wifi card is weak and always keep in disconnecting the network. I am thinking of replacing it with the new Dual AC wifi card.
Since my previous card does not support the 5Ghz. Currently, I have
Qualcomm Atheros AR956x Wireless Network Adapter
Came across this PDF
on page 91 they mention some list
thinking of this
I am not sure about the whitelist and other bios related stuff. Hope some can help me finding compatible Wifi card with the Dual channel support.

There is a known issue with Windows 10 version 1903 and Qualcom WiFi adapters, so you may be running into that problem.
Lenovo does usually have a whitelist, so if you want a AC 7260 card, you should look for one that has a Lenovo FRU of 20200552 because it shipped in Y50-70 models 80DT and 80EJ such as this one per the partlist.
Note: To verify it works with your model, I would go to https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/partslookup, enter your serial number or MTM, and check the list of Wireless LAN cards that are compatible before ordering.

The one I see is shown below. It is a dual band (2x2Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0) adapter that supports 802.11abgn, 802.11ac, 802.11d, 802.11e, 802.11i, 802.11h, 802.11w at 2.4GHz and 5GHz speeds.
The Intel AC 7620 NGFF card you need will look like this one and have both the part number and FRU P/N as shown below, such as this card from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Intel-7260ngw-Wireless-Lenovo-Thinkpad/dp/B011XB19VS
You can use the Intel WLAN Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - Notebook driver found on Lenovo's website, or get the latest driver from Intel for Windows 10
Hope that helps,
