Lenovo Y50-70 Screen Upgrade

2019-08-14, 4:29 AM

Hello,

I've got a Lenovo Y50-70 with an I7-4720HQ, 960m, 8gb of ram and a non touch FHD 60hz display. I've been using this laptop for two years now, and I would like to upgrade my display panel to a 120hz one.

I saw the N156HHE-GA1 which looks suitable. My question is if it's anyway compatible with the laptop and if you have any other option to suggest for my upgrade. Thank you

The N156HHE-GA1  works flawlessly on the Y50. Not only does 120Hz and better gamut get detected, but also brightness control works perfectly.

This is a perfect screen for those who want high-perf gaming or  perform photo editing with excellent accuracy, with proper 100% sRGB accuracy.

Just another confirmation that replacing this screen indeed will get you 120Hz, you will need to uninstall the Intel Graphics HD4600 driver then restart after installing the screen to get 120 showing.
