Hello, I bought this laptop a year and 2 months ago and have set my sites on spending money on a capable gaming desktop setup. Recently, I have given it some thought to upgrading my current laptop to enhance my gaming experience. I was wondering, is it worth putting money into my current laptop or save up for my desktop. I don't plan on buying the desktop until a couple years (2-4 years to be exact) from now. I'm sure this question depends on my financial situation for the most part, but I just want to make sure my laptop specs are good enough and will last until I start working on getting a desktop.
Graphics card - Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 / NVIDA GeForce GTX 960M (Why exactly do I have 2?)
Processor - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4720HQ CPU @2.6GHz
Hard Drive - Model WDC WD10S21X-24R1BT0-SSHD-8GB

Hi Simonhawk ,
Depending on the game requirements, as most games works well with the Y50-70 as seen on most reviews if you really need one.
As with most gaming laptop , challenge will always be the heat so ensuring good ventilation is a factor to consider like laptop cooling pad would be nice.
Intel built in graphics would work as default for low end needs and the NVIDIA jumps in if demand requires more graphic rendering.
Finally , covering your investment with warranty (extended warranty) ensures you that your hard earned money would not just go to waste.
Hope this would help you decide what best fit your need.

Hi to all.
in my y50-70 is present a partition with installed the recovery system to restore at intial settings the notebook.
If I clone the HDD into the SSD , I will have the SSD with partition too as into the old ?
