Hi everyone, as the title states, my bios refuses to save settings except date and time, also in the boot menu it shows me these 3 entries:
totally ignoring if there's another bootable device plugged in (so it doesn't show up)
I tried to do various things, changed CMOS battery, reset bios to default settings, tried bios back-flash unfortunately, that option is set to off in bios, i even tried to set some values before booting, to see if these change just for that session, none of this worked.
Also I'm not alone, i noticed another guy here, with the same problem.
Is there anything I can do to solve that? my warranty has expired.

I just registered to post here. I have the exact same issue. I also replaced my CMOS battery, but it wasn't that. It also happened to me after installing ubuntu 17.10. It sounds extreme though that an OS level thing can affect the bios.

In fact, I don't think the OS has anything to do with that, maybe it's a bug in the bios itself, i had the latest version of it (3.03 if i'm not wrong). Plus i had ubuntu and a hackintosh

I have the same problem. Nothing seems to be helping. To make things worse. I don't have Ubuntu 17.10 anymore. I cannot change the UEFI. Anyone help ?
