Hey guys,
I've had a Lenovo Y50 for a while, now I noticed it only used 50% of my sound, so i put on Dolby, however, the sound sounds worse than with the 50%, like it added more noise/sounds than I originally heard in songs. I wanted to see if I can adjust this or anything, but I can not find any drivers anywhere for it. Is there somewhere I can download or adjust this? (I do play my music at 100% sometimes, it used to sound fine since the output was always 50% max...) I am quite sure my boxes sound fine, but it does sound like there is a disbalance when listening to music I always listen to, even when i plug in external boxes to improve sound/volume.
is there a driver for dolby somewhere or another way to adjust this?
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Forums Emisys.
Try this Uninstall the Audio driver first from Device Manager, be sure to do it this way.
----> Select uninstall, A pop up should appear asking to delete driver software, be sure to place a check on the box.
2.Restart the system and it should be back under device manager, Repeat step one and do this again until you only see High definition Audio under Device Manager, This indicates that you are running in a Generic Audio driver.
Now to reinstall a synced Audio and Dolby driver.
Download this driver
Realtek Audio Driver for 64-bit Windows
And this time install this all the way thru.
Restart the computer installation.
Now Open the Path that it gave you earlier, ex. C:/drivers/Realtek
Look inside that realtek folder and look for a folder named Dolby or DolbyGUI
Inside that folder you will find installation files
Dolby Advanced audio
Dolby Theater
Dolby digital plus
Install the one that came with your system and you should have it back
Update us how it goes.
