Lenovo Y50 takes about 1 or 2 hour to turn on

its been about a month, it takes about a very long time to turn on after pressing the power button on on Lenovo Y50 gaming laptop, win 10. 

 

after pressing the power button the 3 lights turn on normally like an indication for powering the PC on but the screen is black and after 1 or 2 hours the screen starts to turn on and it boots the Lenovo logo then it works just as it did not have any problem. that repeats itself after restarting, putting it to sleep, hibernation or shut down.

 

I updated the drivers, did a system diagnostic, it showed no problem

Hi halweststar,

 

Welcome to the Community Forums.

 

It would be best to start with backing up your files. 

 

Try to isolate further to check if restarting the machine while tapping F2 for the BIOS would also take time. You can also do this without a harddrive connected and check if it would make a difference. You can also fully shutdown then use the Novo button hole to power it back on.

 

While in the BIOS, set the configuration to default with F9 then F10 to save and exit and allow the machine to restart.

 

Update us how it goes.

Thank you for the reply,

 

it it kind of just stopped turning on at all, I Power it on and leave it for one day yet it’s still is the same, not powering on though The few flickering lights are showing.

 

what other suggestions would be good? Thanks

Hi halweststar,

 

Greetings.

 

If you have the same problem even on using the Novo button to power on then seems best to have this checked by the service center. They would be able to isolate probable internal issue specially if the battery does still charge and the charger is proven to be working ok.
