Lenovo Y500 or Lenovo Y580

I am really torn here guys.  Should I get the Lenovo Y500 with SLI or the Lenovo Y580?  Is SLI stable?  Does the Y580 have a higher build quality?  Thanks in advanced.

Re: Lenovo Y500 or Lenovo Y580

Y500 SLI can stand against a GTX 670MX iff the game supports SLI. For most games, Y580 with the GTX 660M will outperform the SLI GT 650M. Also, according to notebookcheck review of the Y500 SLI, the GT 650M unfortunately does not support GPU turbo boosting to 835MHz so it's stuck at 790 Mhz, and therefore making weaker than other laptops with GT 650M that have GPU boost. IMO, If you have the money, get the SLI since the design, cooling capability is much better than the Y580.

Lenovo Y470: i7-2670QM | 8 GB DDR3 1333 MHz RAM | Nvidia GeForce GT 550M | 500 GB 7200 RPM Seagate HDD | ASUS PCE-AC56 802.11ac Network Adapter | Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

I think this was a mistype - the 650M SLI will always be faster, except in games that don't support SLI.

The 650M and 660M differ only in clock speeds; there is no architectural difference between the two. If you search around Google you can figure out how to overclock your 650M to 660M speeds and beyond; many users have gotten clocks more than 30% above stock on this model, which raises it quite a fair bit past 660M speeds.

And we're back...
