Lenovo Y500 w/ NVidia 750m

I'm recently having huge FPS drop while playing any games. It goes to its regular 60 frames to less than 10 every 30 seconds. It last for about 3-5 seconds.

Anyone having the same problem? Anyone knows how to fix this?

If it starts overheating it will do that. So you may want to check what your temps are running when in game.

Re: Lenovo Y500 w/ NVidia 750m

These can be possible causes -

1) CPU throttling due to heat - Use RealTemp to monitor your temperatures

2) Playing games on battery can result in loss of performance. (Check if you are connected all the time)

3) There was an unusual issue reported on this forum some time ago, wherein, once the fps reached 60 it would suddenly drop to mid 10s.

Let me search and paste that link.

Here is the link to that weird problem -
