Lenovo Y510P overloading please help!!!

2017-07-20, 16:08 PM

Hello Lenovo users! I own a lenovo y510p for 2 years now and I haven't had any problems since last week. There was a Windows 10 creators update.. After that update my laptop dramatically slowed down. It keeps overheating and overloading . In task manager the ''Disk'' tab is always at 99% and my CPU usage is verry high. When I open Google Chrome for example it just freezes and there is nothing I can do . I can only hold the power on button so it could shut down . Even ctrl + alt + del doesn't work . When I open a game .. let's say Minecraft , It doesn't freeze but it lags soo much. There is a drastical FPS drop , and that is happening  evry 5-7 seconds. As it si on 60fps , it drops to 15 , to 5 , then goes up to 20 .. 30 .. You'll say that minecraft is heavy .. well , I play Live For Speed , which is heavy like super mario .. The same happens there too. I think that my entire system gets jagged...  Is this a virus or the windows 10 creators update is causing this? Is there a way that I can clean my system and get it fixed?

Try:
1. Remove the SSD for cache, if you have one. Restart and see what happens.

Also, replace your Hard Disk Drive by an SSD, this is besides your problem but this notebook really is slowed down by his HDD.
