I've been having this problem after I installed windows 7. For some reason my laptop will turn itself on after I shut it down when it's still plugged in. It is also the case with sleep and hibernate, but this doesn't happen when the laptop is not plugged to the wall. I turned off the wake on lan setting on BIOS but nothing has changed at all. Windows 7 drivers are already installed too.
Also if the laptop is off when I plug it to the wall, the laptop will stay off, it won't turn on by itself.
Any help is appreciated.

Your question must have got missed, normally someone
around here answers quicker!
Your Win 7 was a update or clean install I assume?
Have you installed ANY Lenovo supplied drivers?
They are available HERE and they have some for Win 7
that may help. Power Management, ACPI, etc.
It depends on what you have installed, or haven't.

Yes I learned to live with it, plugging out the ac when turning it off and plugging it back doesn't turn on the computer. Although it would be nice to have a solution so that the laptop would stay off even if I don't plug out the ac. I installed all windows 7 drivers, I even have linux on dual-boot, both does the same thing, so I'm thinking it's a hardware or BIOS issue, and no, it's not wake on lan, I checked hundreds of time already.
Additional information about this, apparently when I try to hibernate/sleep while it's plugged in, the laptop decided to crash and turn itself back on with the screen you get when turning windows after it crashes (start in safe mode etc.)
