Lenovo Y580 6700 mah battery

Hi everybody,

I need to replace the battery of Lenovo, but it seems impossible to find it, these the informtion I have:

121500037 for  Battery pack, 6cell 6800mAh 72Wh, Panasonic, Pana L11P6R01 3S2P 72Wh

121500039  Sony L11N6R01 10.5V72Wh 6cellBTY 

I have posted a comment in another thread but no reply, I also can not find the right cells to replace them.

Any help would be much appriciated.

Hi Alphahead,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

At times it comes too sensitive to get an OEM battery as they usually get "non battery recognize " error by the BIOS.

It would be best to order OEM battery via part number and you can get that specifically using your serial number here on the parts lookup page.

This article would describe how to order parts here if available else from other resellers but make sure you have a return option just in case.

Thank you for your reply, if I cant find the OEM battery there is no other choice but replace the cells.
As for part lookup, it gives me no result providing the serial number.
The link to how order parts is a blank page.
I contacted Flex, hopefully they have something.

Using the serial number you privately sent, I was able to get the OEM battery part number (from parts lookup page)  for your Y580 Laptop (ideapad) - Type 2099 - Model 59346843.

Battery part number: 121500037  

Description: Pana L11P6R01 3S2P 72Wh battery Comm03  

You may order it via EMEA parts sales desk telephone numbers by country France +33 08 2500 1920 (0.15 euros per min.) or through Flex contact suggestion using the OEM part number.
