Re: Lenovo Y580 problem with PCI-Express

Looking at the info, your error lies in index 3 - 6. It has to do with system peripheral and the sd host controller. There are no SD card and other external devices (peripheral) inserted or connected while you were doing the test. Should you worry? No.

Re: Lenovo Y580 problem with PCI-Express

Hi LeMa13,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

I’m sorry to hear that Error message occurring in Lenovo Solution Center for PCI-Express hardware, there is no need to worry as this error has occurred because there is no device installed in “Mini PCI Express Card slot” which an additional slot is provided to install other PCI device, as per the snapshot there is no issue in the computer.

Do post us back for further queries.

Best Regards

Shiva Kumar

Re: Lenovo (was Y580, Ihave Y470) problem with PCI-Express

I just started getting BSD crashes so I went to Lenovo website looking for hardware diags to run. I found and installed Lenovo Solutions Center 2.2.002. After running Checkup I also got failure message for PCI Express.  I have re-booted, installed all current updates for Windows, removed all externally connected devices, and run in Safe Mode but it still fails with Blue Screen daily this week. I can't tell from the report what the source of the problem is. Any help?  Here;s the log file.

Re: Lenovo (was Y580, Ihave Y470) problem with PCI-Express

@greenfeet:

Whether it is true or not, according to that log file, there are pci express devices connected thus the pci status test failed. Assuming it is true and no devices are really connected then it is really expected that such a test is a failure.
