Re: Lenovo Z50-70.. Kinect 2.0 problem

Did you ever resolve this?

I'm planning to get a Z50-70 to use with Kinect 2 but obviously don't want to get something that won't work.

Re: Lenovo Z50-70.. Kinect 2.0 problem

I have a Z50 75 AMD 7500 wich is quad core.

I wish to buy a kinect sensor  but I'm not able to know if this notebook is compatible with the K-Sensor..

I used the Kinect Config Verifier, as suggested by Microsoft, but it crashes without giving any information, instead it return an 0xe0434352 unknown error. ( I have searched the error codes at MS and google- unsucessful).

I'm note able to evaluate if the Z50-75 AMD FX7500 match the MS HW requisites for  Kinect, here are:

  • 64-bit (x64) processor   --  OK
  • Physical dual-core 3.1 GHz (2 logical cores per physical) or faster processor  ---------------
  • USB 3.0 controller dedicated to the Kinect for Windows v2 sensor or the Kinect Adapter for Windows for use with the Kinect for Xbox One sensor
  • 4 GB of RAM
  • Graphics card that supports DirectX 11
  • Windows 8 or 8.1, Windows Embedded 8, or Windows 10

The Z50 75 is:

Quad core 6 Logical   AMD fx 7500  -- 2.1 -3 ghz  : is it stronger or weaker than required?

USB 3  - yes - but kinect work only on

8 GB RAM

Graphic support for direct X, = yes,I suppose.

In the while I'm try to find a solution for this issue, I wish to ask if anyone has tried to connect a Kinect Sensor to a Lenovo Z50 -75:

does it work?

Well?

Any useful feedback welcome.
