Re: Lenovo Z50-75 Shutting Down Randomly

I'm having the exact same issue - I've been searching for a solution for weeks! I've taken a look in Event Viewer, and I can see that is is giving an Event 41 Task 63 Error message (Kernel-Power). However, the BugcheckCode is blank, so I don't know the exact issue. I hope Lenovo look into this issue as I don't believe it can be a hardware issue if we are all getting it at the same time.

I have my Event Viewer logs here if they are useful to anyone to fix the issue: https://pastebin.com/raw/yXMU2M3s

The two main Events surrounding this issue seem to be:

Re: Lenovo Z50-75 Shutting Down Randomly

I have already tried setting it to 80%. It still restarts. I doubt this is a hardware issue, since we are all having this issue at the same time.

Thanks for looking for a solution though! Smiley Happy

Re: Lenovo Z50-75 Shutting Down Randomly

I've not had the sudden restart happen since I changed the shut down setting.

Re: Lenovo Z50-75 Shutting Down Randomly

Hello all,

I was happy because I didn't have any reboot on my laptop since a week !!!

But this morning, a new issue occured : I was using my laptop and suddenly, a windows 10 blue screen (BSOD) occured.

I had time to note the message on the blue screen : BUGCODE USB DRIVER.

So today, I updated the drivers on my latop. I will see if the issue occurs again.

Re: Lenovo Z50-75 Shutting Down Randomly

Well, good news is I haven't had a shutdown since sometime last week - so I think I can safely (and cautiously) assume the problem has been fixed!  The bad news is.. I really don't know what the solution was.  It seems like everyone is coming back with different things that have helped them.  Mine was fixed after Avast quarantined that .dll I mentioned previously, and other people have said disabling Fast Startup.  I also just disabled Fast Startup as a precaution.

I think if everyone agrees, I'll mark disabling Fast Startup as the solution as it seems to have been the thing that fixed it for more of us.

Yes, disabling Fast Startup seemed to fix it for me.

Re: Lenovo Z50-75 Shutting Down Randomly

No restart in 2 days after changing Fast Startup. I think we can assume the solution has been found.

Thanks!

Re: Lenovo Z50-75 Shutting Down Randomly

Shall we stay in touch? We could reminisce about the fun days when our computers weren't working properly.

Or should we just carry on with our lives?
