Help! My IT dept. updated my laptop to Windows 10 from Windows 7 and ever since it shuts down after removing it from the dock. Does anyone know what to do? They say I might have to live with this until August of 2019. It shut down 4 times in a one and one half hour period as I moved it from dock to dock. Suggestions would be appreciated before they make me go back to Windows 7. Thanks!

May I know what specific dock are you using? Is there any firmware update for the dock that you need to install on your laptop? Have you tried updating the BIOS? If not, try to install it using the link below.

Hi! Just to make sure, try running the update from the Lenovo Vantage app. If it's missing, download it here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/lenovo-vantage/9wzdncrfj4mv#activetab=pivotverviewtab. Install all available updates and restart the laptop.
And also, Ideapad laptops are not compatible to this docking stations. Please refer to the photo below.
